Training with The Humane Connection MethodTM


PUPPY & COMPANION DOG TRAINING:

All of our puppies are raised and trained through the Humane Connection MethodTM or HCM. We do not believe in short cuts, as Brittany always says, "There is a tremendous difference between the easiest way to do something and the best way to do it". We do not believe in using food training "Just Once" or just because he's a puppy. All puppies have astounding memories and we do not want your puppy to like you because of the food reward but because of who your are. We transfer that powerful love bond to you, not to just anyone who has food in their hand. All of our puppies follow us effortlessly (no leash, free heeling) everywhere we go. Consequently the puppies all act like other people's adult dogs who have undergone rigorous leash and off-leash training. You will see this over and over again on our videos. This is what we do all day. We do not raise children any more or endeavor in other professions, consequently we have time to properly utilize the Humane Connection MethodTM with all of our puppies.

We also believe training entails much more than sit, heel, stay. A well trained dog is a well behaved dog at all times. He does not need to be reminded with commands. He knows his place at all times. When you sit down with your friends he automatically drapes himself at your feet. Without being told to. This follows through in all facets of his life. Carrying his head high, not sniffing the ground or relieving himself in public or marking territory shows character beyond basic training. This is what the Humane Connection MethodTM is all about.



PROTECTION TRAINING:... "Discreet" is the word - when we talk Protection.

We protection train our resident dogs because we have done this for well over twenty five years. No one knows they are protection trained unless we say so. This is because they are always sweet, relaxed and gentle. We do not believe a dog that has the propensity towards aggression should be protection trained. Only gentle, proven family dogs should be protection trained. They then mantain that discreet integrity and do not show off or go off uneccessarily. No one should know your dog is protection trained unless you want them to know, period. All of our dogs mature into good home protectors, which means they sound off appropriately. We can formally protection train your dog when you can prove perfect control at all times. And then after his training your dog should still be the same happy dog he always was as proper protection work will not alter his disposition. This means no wild agitation or rag work and running from your dog by the agitator (bad guy) during training. Proper protection techniques and responses can be seen on the Master Video.

Last but not least, we do not leave our training to chance. This means we do not hire trainers or allow anyone to work with our dogs or puppies. The preciseness of the Humane Connection MethodTM , the brilliance of our pups, and let's not overlook the uniqueness of each individual puppy: these factors do not allow room for error. The puppies and young adults then flow with the training without any mishaps.
